Default dye

Is here a specific creature that has more chance of dropping dyes? i've been running round for days(real time) and rarely get any dye.
So far i've found a few on those Aloe Seeds(i'm pre-searing, new player here).

Any ideas on what's most likely to drop it?

It's random I think..

But I went through the catacombs in pre-searing and found quite a few dyes, try that.

All I ever seem to get is Wands, lol. Maybe i'm just unlucky.

Thanks, i'll try the Catacombs once i'm strong enough

I've not managed to get two dyes yet(I tend to use em since I rarely find any), but my guess is that you double click on the dye(as if to use it) then click on the other dye to mix.

You may mix upto 4 dyes to produce different colours (just use the first dye on another dye rather then armour), however in beta the results were generally not quite the colour expected... fyi: IIRC you cannot mix to create black; mixing with black darkens your colour; mixing with silver lightens your colour...

Also yes, I believe dye drops are random...

Easiest thing to do is just kill as much as you can

My current character found no less than 10 dyes all together in pre-searing. Sometimes it's killing those 0xp creatures that you figure have nothing to give you.

And sometimes it's just luck of the drop.

I went probably 3 or 4 levels before I found my first dye. I've found more in post searing then I did in pre. Most of what I found presearing was yellow and orange.
